Based on Socionics theory
The framework behind the experience
Hello Pistachio is built on Socionics — a personality framework developed in the 1970s by Lithuanian researcher Aušra Augustinavičiūtė, extending Carl Jung's theory of psychological types.
Socionics proposes a model of information processing and intertype relationships. These ideas can support self-reflection, but its relationship predictions have not been scientifically established.
We translate that theory into an approachable experience while making room for nuance, ambiguity, and honest questions.

How HelloPistachio works
HelloPistachio uses Socionics as a framework for exploring personality and relationships. This is a self-reflection tool, not a clinical assessment. Its accuracy and validity have not been established through independent psychometric studies.
Questions that adapt to your answers
The test starts with a short set of situational choices and may ask extra questions when types are close. You can select Both or Neither instead of making a forced choice.
Room for close results
The leading type is the closest fit in our scoring model, not a statistical probability that your type is correct. We show close or unresolved results and offer optional clarification.
Patterns, not predictions
Compatibility descriptions come from Socionics' intertype relationship theory. They offer ideas for discussion, not measured compatibility, diagnoses, or validated predictions of relationship success.
